Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration is the core of our business.
Inter-Marine have been at the forefront of transitional refrigerant retrofitting since the original Montréal protocol.
We have moved complete cruise vessels away from utilising CFC and HCFC refrigerants. We continue to maintain our education on newer available refrigerants for retrofitting to the latest GWP (Global Warming Potential) requirements.
These retrofits have included all refrigeration and air-conditioning systems on board, such as
– Main AC Chillers
– Negative and Positive Provision Plants
– Ancillary Stand Alone Equipment
We offer shipping owners the installations of compound specific infra-red refrigerant loss monitoring systems. This service provides early warning loss alarms both locally in the engine room, at the source providing early warning to the ECR room.
We also provide on-board training to the refrigeration crew on correct codes of good practice, super heat settings and troubleshooting analysis.
Inter-Marine are specialists in AHU (Air Handing Unit) overhauls, incorporating new heating and cooling coil replacements, structural framing, filtration and damper upgrades.
Our service technicians can provide the expertise of system air and water balancing, inefficient system diagnosis and reporting.
We can provide full sheet metal fabrication of new trunking/ducting in galvanised or stainless steel, have the ability to site measure, and manufacture on-board. We are able to offer these services as a riding crew or during wet/dry-dockings.
In Australia, our compressor rebuild workshop network, offers overhauling of any brand of compressor types such as:
These compressors may be rebuilt either in a workshop environment or on-site to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) specifications and tolerances utilising OEM parts.
